Mr. Tanit Chearavanont, Senior Vice Chairman of CP Group, Visits the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand to Offer Condolences to Mr. Zhu Rongji

Mr. Zhu Rongji, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the 14th and 15th Central Committees of the Communist Party of China and former Chinese premier, died of illness at the age of 98 in Beijing at 11:06 a.m. on August 12th, 2026.

On August 17th, entrusted by Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, President of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs and Senior Chairman of CP Group, Mr. Tanit Chearavanont, Senior Vice Chairman of CP Group, visited the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand as the group's representative to pay respects to Mr. Zhu Rongji. He signed the condolence book and left a message to express profound sorrow. CP Group presented a wreath to convey its deep mourning.

Mr. Zhu Rongji was an outstanding leader deeply loved and respected by the Chinese people. During his tenure as Vice Premier and Premier of the State Council, he consistently prioritized addressing issues concerning agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, promoted agricultural structure adjustment in a way that suited local conditions, strengthened poverty alleviation and development in rural areas, and promoted coordinated urban-rural development, devoting immense effort to the progress of China's agriculture and the development of its countryside. Mr. Zhu Rongji cared deeply about overseas Chinese and fully recognized ​​the invaluable contributions made by overseas Chinese to China's reform and opening up as well as modernization. He was highly respected and loved by the vast number of overseas Chinese.
