A Century-Old Spirit of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, Building the World Chinese Merchant Center
During the study tour, the delegation of overseas Chinese teenagers learned about the unique significance behind the building. The World Chinese Merchant Center (Beijing CP Center) was situated in the heart of Beijing CBD and served as the headquarters for CP Group China. In 1979, responding to the call of the reform and opening-up, CP Group became the first foreign-invested enterprise to enter the Chinese mainland following the launch of the reform and opening-up and obtained the No. 0001 Certificate of Approval for Establishment of Foreign-Invested Enterprise.

This spirit was also embodied in the construction of this building. At the inception of the construction of the World Chinese Merchant Center, leaders from the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of CP Group, envisioned creating an international landmark in Beijing CBD and making it a platform for communication between global overseas Chinese entrepreneurs as well as between the overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and the government. Through the story of generations of overseas Chinese entrepreneurs who remained deeply attached to their ancestral homeland, these overseas Chinese teenagers deeply felt the unwavering devotion that entrepreneurs held for this land.
Seven-Star Premier Business Complex, Immersively Experiencing the Vision of the Future
The delegation of overseas Chinese teenagers entered the CP Grand Hall located on the fourth floor of the building. Spanning 1,400 square meters, this pillar-free, immersive panoramic hall had a 10.8-meter high ceiling space and naked-eye 3D dynamic screens that created a dreamlike audiovisual experience, allowing the teenagers from around the world to personally appreciate the high construction standards of premium commercial buildings in China. Pausing to admire the venue, the teenagers marveled at this modern, international business space, which blended cutting-edge technology with architectural aesthetics, and eagerly took photos to commemorate the visit.

As a top-tier, seven-star business complex in Beijing CBD, the World Chinese Merchant Center used its modernized facilities and high-quality service system that met cutting-edge international standards to show Beijing’s vibrant energy as a center for international exchange to the younger generation.
Using Culture as a Bridge, Continuously Connecting Global Overseas Chinese
From high-level business matching to regular cultural exchanges, the World Chinese Merchant Center had always been entrusted with the profound mission of serving overseas Chinese and uniting their hearts.
In 2025, the World Chinese Merchant Center hosted the "Connecting the World – Overseas Chinese Media Visit CP Center" symposium, bringing together representatives from Chinese media outlets and multinational corporations from countries including South Africa, Russia, France, Hungary, Canada, New Zealand, South Korea, the UAE, and Germany. They engaged in in-depth dialogue on how Chinese media could help companies connect with global markets, using overseas Chinese as a bridge and media as wings to continuously amplify the aggregation effect of global overseas Chinese businesses. This March, the "Galloping Horse Welcomes Spring, Hometown Across Thousands of Miles – 2026 Global Overseas Chinese Spring Festival Photography Exhibition," hosted by CNSphoto.com and co-organized by the Global Chinese Media Cooperation Union, opened at the Global Business Reception Hall of the World Chinese Merchant Center. The exhibition selected 100 outstanding works from over 13,000 submissions worldwide, showcasing the Spring Festival scenes of overseas Chinese in nearly 20 countries and using light and shadow to gather the homesickness and love for family and country that transcended mountains and seas.

The 'Cultural China · Water Cube Cup' Chinese Song Contest had been held for 16 consecutive years since 2011. It had increasingly become a grand music and cultural event with wide participation from overseas Chinese communities and compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao, connecting the hearts of overseas Chinese through music and song. This visit also allowed the younger generation of overseas Chinese to truly appreciate the profound heritage of Chinese culture and the contemporary achievements of their ancestral homeland's development.
Looking to the future, the World Chinese Merchant Center will continue to deeply integrate into cultural connections, join hands with overseas Chinese, unite their hearts and efforts, and play a greater role in the macro-strategy of national development.
