Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of CP Group, and Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, Chairman of CP Group, Are Invited to Attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026

From March 24th to 27th, the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026 was held in Boao, Hainan. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Forum, thousands of guests from political, business, and academic circles around the world gathered in Hainan to contribute "Boao Wisdom." Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, President of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs and Senior Chairman of CP Group, and Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, Executive Vice President of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs and Chairman of CP Group, were invited to participate in the series of activities of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026 and they also participated in a series of meetings and site visits during this period.

The Forum

On the morning of March 26th, the plenary session of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026 took place in Boao, Hainan. Mr. Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech entitled "Grasping the Correct Direction and Creating a Better Future Together." Mr. Mu Hong, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, also attended the conference. Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of CP Group, and Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, Chairman of CP Group, were invited to participate in the plenary session.

After the plenary session, on the afternoon of the 26th, Mr. Zhao Leji held a symposium with Chinese and foreign entrepreneur representatives attending the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026.

On March 25th, the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026 · Roundtable Meeting of Overseas Chinese Business Leaders and Think Tanks, entitled “Seizing New Opportunities, Achieving New Development,” was held in Boao, Hainan. Twenty-six representatives of overseas Chinese businesses, private entrepreneurs, and think tank experts from 13 countries and regions attended the meeting. They discussed three sub-topics: “China’s Economic Development and Opportunities for Overseas Chinese Businesses during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period,” “Artificial Intelligence Accelerating Industrial Transformation: Corporate Response Strategies,” and “Responding to Changing Circumstances and Challenges, Promoting Friendly Relations Between China and Foreign Countries.” Ms. Chen Xu, Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont and Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont participated in the meeting.

The day before, on March 24th, a gala dinner commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Boao Forum for Asia was held in Boao, Hainan. Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont was invited to attend the gala dinner.

The Meetings

On the evening of March 24th, Mr. Feng Fei, Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPC, met with Ms. Chen Xu, Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, and representatives of overseas Chinese business leaders and think tank experts who attended the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026 · Roundtable Meeting of Overseas Chinese Business Leaders and Think Tanks in Boao. Ms. Yin Libo, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPC and Minister of the United Front Work Department, also attended the meeting. Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont and Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont attended the meeting.

On the morning of the 24th, Mr. Feng Fei and Mr. Liu Xiaoming, Governor of Hainan Province, met with Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, and a delegation led by them in Boao.

On March 25th, a delegation from Chongqing attending the Boao Forum for Asia met with Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, and a delegation led by them. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on deepening industrial cooperation, project matching, and resource sharing.

The Site Visits

On the afternoon of March 25th, Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont visited the CP · Xinglong Coffee Culture Park in Wanning, Hainan, to gain an in-depth understanding of the park's operation and the development of the coffee industry.

Subsequently, Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont visited Hainan Zhouzai Island Marine Industry Co., Ltd. to inspect aquaculture projects, and the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on aquaculture technology. That evening, Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont and Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont attended a welcome banquet held in Wanning by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Hainan Provincial Government, and exchanged views with Ms. Chen Xu, Mr. Zhao Feng, Vice Governor of Hainan, and Mr. Gai Wenqi, Secretary of the Wanning Municipal Committee of the CPC. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on deepening cooperation and promoting Hainan's economic development.

During their attendance at the Boao Forum for Asia in Hainan, Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont and Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont met with entrepreneurs from Chenghai, Shantou, Mr. Cai Dongqing, Chairman of the Aulton New Energy, and Mr. Li Yixiu, Vice Chairman of the Aulton New Energy. Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont were also interviewed by media outlets including People's Daily, CCTV, China News Service, Hainan TV, and Hainan Daily.
