Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont and Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont are Invited to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand to Celebrate the Lantern Festival

On March 3rd, the Lantern Festival of the Year of the Horse, at the invitation of Mr. Zhang Jianwei, China’s Ambassador to Thailand, and his wife Miao Haiyan, Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of CP Group, along with some family members, including his eldest son, Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, Chairman of CP Group, and his wife Mrs. Marisa Chearavanont, his third son, Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont, Senior Vice Chairman of CP Group, and his wife Mrs. Busadee Chearavanont, and his grandson, Mr. Tanit Chearavanont, Senior Vice Chairman of CP Group and CEO of Makro, and his wife Mrs. Sung Kim, visited the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand to celebrate the Lantern Festival together.

Wu Jian, Minister-Counselor and Consul General of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand, Sun Yantao, Counselor for Overseas Chinese Affairs, Liu Shaoze, First Secretary and Consul, Li Shixing, Secretary to the Ambassador, and Huang Weiwei, Chief China Strategic Development and Cooperation Officer of CP Group and Senior Vice Chaiman of CP Group China, also attended the celebration.

Mr. Zhang Jianwei highly praised CP Group for its 47 years of operation in China, its active participation in China's economic development, and its contributions to promoting China-Thailand economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges. He expressed his hope that CP Group would continue to leverage its strengths, expand cooperation areas, and enrich cooperation content, making new and greater contributions to continuously improving the well-being of the people of China and Thailand and writing a new chapter in China-Thailand friendship.

Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont stated that CP Group had been operating in China for many years and had always maintained strong confidence in China's development. In the future, CP Group would fully utilize technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics to drive the further development of the Group’s business in China. He also expressed the Group's willingness to deepen cooperation with leading Chinese enterprises and jointly expand into ASEAN and other overseas markets.
