On September 12th, Beijing Loongs successfully held a fan meeting at Beijing CP Center, the headquarters of CP Group China. Coaches and players came out from the stadium to meet the fans, interacting with them up close through Q&A, gift exchanges, autographs, and taking photos, acknowledging their continued support.
The establishment, matches, fan meetings and other activities of the Beijing Loongs baseball team allowed the public to gain a clearer understanding of CP Group's industrial layout and development in areas such as healthy food, sports education, and urban commercial spaces. This provided a more concrete expression of the Three Benefits Principle "benefit the country, benefit the people, benefit the company" advocated by the century-old CP Group.
From the Great Wall to Beijing CP Center: "Homecoming" to Meet Fans
On the afternoon of September 12th, a fan meeting was held at the CP Center in Beijing. Head coach Noelvis Gonzalez led a full squad of 16 international players, including Alfredo Despaigne, Raico Santos, Luis Romero, Francisco Martinez, etc. This international team returned to Beijing in triumph with its full roster, meeting with Beijing fans for the first time in person.
Located in the heart of Beijing CBD, the CP Center is the headquarters of CP Group China and the World Chinese Merchant Center, integrating diverse settings such as business offices and leisure activities. Prior to the meeting, the players from the Beijing Loongs first visited the Global Business Reception Hall in the North Tower of the CP Center, enjoying panoramic views of Beijing and learning about the CP Group's development history in China and brand philosophy.

During the meeting, head coach Gonzalez discussed how a multicultural team must first understand the players' mental state in order to truly integrate coaching into their actions and allow the players to perform at their best. He described playing baseball as "like playing chess, a game on land and grass, where the players are the most important protagonists." When discussing the development of young players, he emphasized the importance of long-term self-discipline and hard work and focused more on the process than the single result.

During the Q&A session, Arauz said that the enthusiasm of Chinese fans made him feel like he was with family and friends. Palma also mentioned that the team's warm welcome made him quickly feel a sense of belonging. Lighthearted conversations about Chinese names and Beijing cuisine brought them closer. Fans presented gifts such as folding fans with inscribed blessings and embroidered gourds, while the team reciprocated with autographed balls, jerseys, and group photo posters.
Upon arriving in Beijing, the team's itinerary extended beyond the fan meeting. The players climbed the Great Wall, experiencing Chinese history and Beijing culture amidst the mountains and walls. For the foreign players, this trip was both a "homecoming" and a cultural experience of the team's home city.

Starting with Six Consecutive Wins, a Team Becomes a Tangible Embodiment of Brand Value
On August 13th, the CPB Summer Solstice League kicked off at the Xuhui West Bund Baseball Park in Shanghai. The Beijing Loongs made their league debut, becoming Beijing's first and currently only homegrown professional baseball team, and the sole representative from the Northern region in this year's tournament. On August 17th, with their roster not yet fully assembled, the team defeated the Shanghai Orcas 4-2, securing their first-ever CPB victory. Catcher #28, Palma, was named the MVP of the game.

Afterwards, the team continued to gel during the packed schedule. On September 4th, four overseas players returned to the team, and on September 9th, two home runs helped the team defeat Fuzhou Haixia 6-1, achieving a six-game winning streak and breaking the CPB league record. The complete roster and winning momentum provided the perfect start to the fan meeting, marking a new beginning for Beijing Loongs to connect with its fans and the city.
From an incomplete roster to a winning streak, the team had gone through the processes of player re-entry, tactical integration, and adapting to away games. Players from different countries and regions had developed chemistry and adapted to the language, food, and pace of the game in a foreign country. The coaching staff had also helped the team establish a unified playing rhythm within a limited timeframe. The six-game winning streak was the most powerful testament to this period of integration.
From the Three Benefits Principal to Baseball, the Contemporary Expression of a Century-old Value
The establishment of the Beijing Loongs continued the tradition of long-term investment by the CP Group. Founded in 1921 by Mr. Chia Ek Chor, the CP Group became the first foreign-invested enterprise to enter mainland China after the reform and opening up in 1979, obtaining the No. 0001 foreign-invested enterprise approval certificate. Today, driven by its long-term focus on professional sports and youth education, CP Group hoped to continue its long-term investment in the growth of a sport and a team.
Building a team had significance far beyond the playing field. The team's operation always adhered to the Three Benefit Principle of “benefit the people, benefit the country, benefit the company": participating in the construction of the professional baseball system, gathering sports resources from home and abroad, and promoting industry development; allowing more families to get in touch with baseball and participate in sports through youth training and fan activities; and linking events, food, commercial spaces, and media resources to support the team's long-term operation.
For an international team, performance depends not only on the field but also on daily support. With its whole industrial chain system and continuous innovation, CP Food has been deeply involved in sports support, relying on high-quality products and attentive service. Since 2006, CP Group has been a designated supplier of products for the Training Bureau of the General Administration of Sport of China, providing egg products for national athletes. Since 2021, CP Group has officially become an "Official Partner of WTT World Table Tennis Federation China Events." In 2022, CP Group became the supplier of eggs and chicken for the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics, providing safe and reliable food for Olympic athletes. CP Group and CP Food continue this experience in sports support, providing safe and nutritious food support for the Beijing Loongs from daily training to away games. From national teams and international competitions to the daily meals of professional baseball teams, CP Food consistently serves athletes with quality and provides safe, healthy, nutritious, delicious, and convenient food for more families.

Let the Team Truly Belong to the city: From the Great Wall Culture to the Future Home Court
A team named after a city needs to have a genuine connection to that city. For international players, fan meeting becomes a cultural experience where they can learn about China and the city where their team is located.

Professional sports have no predetermined endings. What lasts longer than victory or defeat is the companionship and response. While celebrating their six-game winning streak, the Beijing Loongs reciprocated the fans' enthusiasm and support with a fan meeting: face-to-face free coaching, Q&A sessions, gift exchanges, and autograph sessions. This enthusiasm extended beyond the field, with the safe and delicious CP Food accompanying the audience, the CP Center urban complex building a bridge between the team and fans, and bringing the charm of sports culture to more people.
Beijing Loongs is about to embark on a new season. Past achievements belong to the past, and challenges lie ahead. Beijing Loongs looks forward to walking alongside its fans.
