Release time:2026-08-08

From July 28th to August 3rd, on behalf of the Beijing Headquarters Safety Working Committee, the Sustainable Development Department and Administration Department of the CP Group Beijing Headquarters organized five fire safety training sessions and evacuation drills on different floors of the CP Center office area and the Guanghua Chang'an Mansion office area. This activity combined accident case warnings and practical evacuation drills, and 529 headquarters employees participated, effectively enhancing the safety awareness of all employees, especially their emergency response, self-rescue, and mutual rescue capabilities.

▲The event was hosted by Ms. Hu Shijie, Senior President of the Sustainable Development Department.

▲Employees from the headquarters watched a video of a cautionary case together.

At the start of the training, employees from each floor gathered to watch a CCTV video about a major fire accident that occurred on July 9th at a shoe company in Jinjiang, Fujian, resulting in 28 deaths, which made every employee present deeply aware of the ruthlessness of fire and the importance of prevention. Fan Lei, the Safety Production Director of the Sustainable Development Department at headquarters, gave a case review, hoping that this real-life case would further strengthen all employees' awareness that "fire safety is paramount" and build a solid safety defense line from the depths of their minds.

▲The fire safety supervisor of CP Center Property Management explained emergency escape procedures.

▲The security supervisor of CP Center Property Management explained the evacuation route.

▲The fire safety supervisor of Guanghua Chang'an Mansion explained how to use a fire extinguisher.

For this fire safety training and evacuation drill, we specially invited the fire safety supervisors from CP Center and Guanghua Chang'an Mansion Property Management to systematically explain initial fire suppression, fire escape and self-rescue, and the proper use of fire-fighting equipment, taking into account the characteristics of high-rise building fires. Immediately after the explanation, an evacuation drill was conducted on-site. Employees were divided into groups and quickly and orderly evacuated to safe areas according to predetermined routes. The entire drill was tense but orderly, with excellent teamwork and efficient action, effectively improving emergency response and evacuation capabilities in the event of a sudden fire.

Ji Youbao, manager of the Headquarters Administration Department (CP Center office area), and Zhang Jianguo, deputy manager (Guanghua Chang'an Mansion office area), respectively emphasized the safety management of the office area based on the actual situation of each floor, and reported on the potential fire hazards such as non-standard use of electricity. At the same time, they read out the list of safety team leaders and safety officers for each floor, clarifying the responsibilities of individuals, and emphasizing that each department must strictly implement its own safety responsibilities and make hidden danger inspection a routine practice.

▲Mr. Xue Zengyi delivered a concluding speech.

At the end of the event, Senior Vice Chairman Mr. Xue Zengyi delivered a concluding speech. He said that Mr. Yang Xiaoping, Senior Vice Chairman of CP Group and CEO of CP Group China, attached great importance to safety. Recently, Mr. Yang Xiaoping issued a new "Notice on Adjusting the Safety Working Committee of Beijing Headquarters," which clarified the personnel of the headquarters safety working committee, the safety officers (part-time) on each floor, their safety responsibilities, and a total of 96 safety control points in various office areas. This event was an important activity to implement Mr. Yang Xiaoping's instructions. On behalf of Mr. Yang Xiaoping, Senior Vice Chairman Mr. Xie Yi, and COO Mr. Hou Xiaohai, he expressed sincere gratitude to the part-time safety officers on each floor and the fire safety staff from the  building property management for their hard work, and extended greetings and thanks to all employees. He also emphasized the concept that "everyone is a safety officer," and that every employee had a responsibility to maintain a safe environment for themselves and their colleagues.

Mr. Xue Zengyi, citing cautionary cases, pointed out that safety inspections could not be merely a formality. Problems identified must be rectified immediately, adhering to the principle of "no delay in addressing hidden dangers" and ensuring tangible results. He recalled a fire accident at a factory and said that during post-accident counseling, employees reported that they were fortunate the factory had previously conducted safety evacuation drills; otherwise, the casualties might be far greater. This clearly demonstrated that routine evacuation drills could save lives in critical moments.

Mr. Xue Zengyi emphasized that we spent more than half of our time working and living in the office area, which was our shared home. He hoped that all employees would take this training as an opportunity to internalize safety awareness and put it into practice, jointly creating a safe, comfortable, and warm office environment. He also reminded everyone to pay attention to whether flammable and explosive materials, controlled knives, or other dangerous items were stored in the office area, and to take strict precautions against extreme and malicious incidents such as poisoning of the company canteen and water dispensers.

Mr. Xie Yi, Vice Chairman Ms. Zheng Ping, and Consultant Guo Wenchang attached great importance to this training. They participated and provided guidance at different times, fully affirmed the activity, and put forward clear requirements for the headquarters' safety work.

Following this event, the Sustainable Development Department and the Administration Department at headquarters would use this opportunity to comprehensively review and improve the implementation of headquarters safety management. Regarding facility and equipment safety, a comprehensive inspection and update of electrical facilities such as sockets and plugs on each floor would be conducted to eliminate safety hazards such as aging and loosening. In collaboration with the headquarters canteen, professional personnel would conduct a special safety inspection of the canteen's gas pipelines to prevent accidents at the source. A video of safe evacuation from the headquarters canteen would be recorded and played repeatedly during mealtimes to enhance diners' emergency response capabilities. Plans were in place to replenish a batch of gas masks and improve emergency supplies reserves to ensure they were readily available and usable in critical moments. Furthermore, in collaboration with the Human Resources Center, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) usage training would be organized to improve emergency response capabilities and enhance the safety of headquarters employees.
