On October 19th, the "2026 Sustainable Development · ESG Communications Launch Season," initiated by the International Institute for ESG Communication, officially launched. Centered on the theme "Making Sustainable Value Visible, Understood, Trusted," this year’s launch season used case studies, digital showcases, and industry insights to bring sustainable development practices within the media and branding sectors into the broader public eye. Notably, Beijing CP Center‘s "A Green Promise for Tomorrow" ESG Action Month activity was selected as an outstanding case study in the Large-Scale Events Category for the 2026 Media Sustainability-ESG Works Case Collection (Chinese Mainland).
The list of selected entries showed that there were 10 outstanding cases in the Large-Scale Events Category. The Beijing CP Center‘s "A Green Promise for Tomorrow" ESG Action Month activity was the only entry from the commercial real estate sector to be included.
The award-winning initiative, the "Growing Together with the City: A Green Promise for Tomorrow" ESG Action Month activity, took place in May 2026. It showcased the ESG achievements accumulated by CP Center over its six years of operation. Throughout the month, a series of events, including the "To Mothers, To the Earth" public art exhibition, a vertical run within the building, a promotional campaign for national urban waste sorting, and an "ESG Junior Ambassador" educational program, were held. These activities connected enterprises and families, fostering an open and diverse narrative for ESG communication.

Located in the heart of Beijing CBD, CP Center serves as the headquarters for CP Group China and the World Chinese Merchant Center. In the recently released 2026 GRESB Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark assessment, CP Center achieved a perfect score in the management dimension and was awarded a GRESB 5-star rating.
Low-carbon innovation initiatives in the environmental dimension, a caring community and public welfare practices in the social dimension, and robust institutional frameworks and authoritative certifications in the governance dimension, together, these elements forge a green, sustainable ecosystem for this high-quality commercial building.
Regarding the implementation of low-carbon operations, electricity supplied to tenants at CP Center is now 100% green energy, resulting in an annual reduction of approximately 17,200 tons of carbon emissions. Through intelligent upgrades, an AI-driven high-efficiency mechanical plant project has increased the average COP of the cooling station system from 3.9 to 5.5, thereby enhancing energy efficiency. In 2025, CP Center deployed the nation’s first AI-algorithm-based smart waste metering system, and in May 2026, this system served as a site for the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development’s national on-site meeting on urban domestic waste sorting, showcasing the achievements of smart waste classification practices to the entire country.
Beyond its low-carbon hardware capabilities, the project continues to strengthen its "soft power" in ESG management. In 2025, CP Center adopted the standards of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), aligning its energy efficiency management, asset operations and maintenance, and tenant services with high-standard international practices. Furthermore, CP Center has established an integrated operational mechanism covering five major management systems, including quality, environment, occupational health and safety, energy, and information security. It has also published annual ESG reports for two consecutive years, subjecting its environmental, social, and governance performance to professional assessment and public scrutiny.
By leveraging multicultural initiatives and community activities, CP Center continues to cultivate a warm and welcoming building community. Throughout this year, the venue has hosted a diverse array of events, including the Finnish poetry and portrait exhibition "I Was Born a Girl," the 2026 Global Overseas Chinese Spring Festival Photography Exhibition, the inaugural nature-focused public welfare exhibition "100 Small Acts, One Snowy Mountain," the contemporary art exhibition "Ode to Odyssey" by HER GALLERY, the Beijing CBD International Coffee Culture Festival, the Beijing CBD International Food Tasting Festival, the Digital & Intelligent Technology Carnival, and the Health & Happiness Lifestyle Festival, to conduct multi-dimensional public dialogues and weave the principles of sustainability into the fabric of the building’s community culture. A brand-new exhibition, "Golden Journey: Aether·Healing the World," will open on October 26th. Centered on the themes of mind-body balance, embracing nature, and promoting universal love, the exhibition creates a tranquil space for contemplation, offering visitors a soothing, immersive experience.

This honor serves as both a recognition and a new starting point. CP Center looks forward to working alongside more like-minded partners, continuing to explore paths toward sustainable innovation, and collectively building a greener, brighter urban future.
