Statement by Charoen Pokphand Group

It has come to our attention that recent media reports have referred to a company with a name similar to that of Charoen Pokphand Group (“CP Group”). This company (the “Unrelated Company”) was reprimanded and fined by the relevant regulatory authority for breaches of regulatory requirements. These reports have drawn public attention.

To avoid any misunderstanding, CP Group wishes to clarify that:

1. We have confirmed that the Unrelated Company is not a member of CP Group. The Unrelated Company is not affiliated with and has no connection to CP Group.
2. The Unrelated Company’s conduct and activities are entirely unrelated to CP Group.
3. “Zheng Da (正大)”, “Charoen Pokphand”, “CP” and “CP Group”, together with related marks, are registered trademarks and trade names of CP Group. No third party may use them without permission or imply any affiliation with CP Group.
4. CP Group hereby reserves all rights to take legal action as it deems necessary to protect its legal rights and interests.
